WATCH: Carlos Alcaraz sobs inconsolably after losing to Novak Djokovic in a thrilling final at Cincinnati

Carlos Alcaraz is one of the best tennis players in the world right now. He was fantastic in the recent Cincinnati Masters competition but fell barely short of winning the entire thing. The man really failed to overcome Novak Djokovic in one of the finest finals and lost two rounds in a row after winning the first.

These two rounds were lopsided, and Carlos ultimately failed to make his dominance and presence known more appropriate in the game, maybe leading to a decline in confidence. This is possible since he failed poorly to produce a game-saving comeback late in the game.

Novak Djokovic cheers up Carlos Alcaraz after the game

Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz
Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz after the finals showed everyone how they have gained respect for each other after this big match.

Carlos was seen sobbing while relaxing on the sideline after this game since he was very involved in Cincinnati Masters and everything up to this point had been appropriate for him. He dominated practically every match and failed to seize momentum in the last encounter as well.

Carlos Alcaraz was seen wiping away tears with a towel, yet he still smiled at everyone. This gesture of his has been welcomed by many fans because it demonstrates how much strength he has in himself that he is still smiling even after experiencing so much mental stress in the game. Novak Djokovic, who won the match, was also seen cheering on his opponent. During the conference, he encouraged him by telling everyone how much he is impressed by Carlos and how Carlos is willing to give his best in a single match and does not allow himself to give up easy.

This quip and amusing conversation brought a pleasant moment to the game and demonstrated how much of a gentleman’s game tennis is. Carlos Alcaraz was well appreciated by the supporters, but it appears he was perfectly OK when the contest was done.
